Amy is one of our two amazing receptionists. Out of all of us here at Signal Mountain Veterinary Clinic, she has been working in veterinary medicine the longest – since 1990! She began working at a veterinary clinic while in high school, went to school to become a licensed veterinary technician, and “retired” to the front desk in 2005, and she has been at our bustling front desk since 2012. She has a Great Dane, a Great Pyreneese mix, four cats, and a gerbil (though she is known to adopt any stray cat that crosses her path, so that number fluctuates). In her free time, she enjoys being a passenger on a Harley Davidson and spending time with her two daughters. While she considers veterinary medicine to be her first love, she nearly majored in theater in college. “I was a theater kid in high school. I loved drama class, participated in our drama guild, and performed in our theater productions,” she says.
